85,of Scott Twp., formerly of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Bud Gensheimer; devoted mother “Frau” of Christine Klesius (Mike) of Pewaukee, WI, Greg Gensheimer (Leslie Barrett) of Montverde, FL, Mark Gensheimer (Annie Kirk) of Sewickley and the late Michael James Gensheimer; loving grandma “Frau” of Brian Klesius (Lisa), Sarah Gensheimer, Alie Gensheimer Gruelle (Matteo Gruelle), Laura Klesius, Hannah Gensheimer and Caroline “CC” Gensheimer; sister of the late Eileen Hoffman, Alice Edkin, Marjorie Yeager, Robert A., James W., Richard P., Mary E. and Frances Mary Keim; also survived by her many nieces, nephews and devoted friends Jim DelBianco and Sandy Russman. Anne was born in Erie, PA on July 26, 1929, the youngest of 9 children of the late Anthony E. and Alice McQuade Keim. She attended St. Joseph’s grade school and Villa Maria Academy in Erie, where she was valedictorian in 1945. Anne earned her RN at Mercy School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1950. She then attended Villa Maria College in Erie while also working at the Veteran’s Administration. In 1950, she met the love of her life, Ernest Burke “Bud” Gensheimer. They were married on May 2, 1953 and had a wonderful marriage spanning 55 years. In 1973, Anne earned her Bachelor of Education Degree from California University of Pennsylvania. After the birth of her youngest son, Michael James, Anne became interested in serving children with special needs. She worked as a school nurse at Pathfinder School (Allegheny Intermediate Unit) in Bethel Park for 25 years. She was a long-time volunteer at St. Clair Hospital and Marian Manor. She and her late husband, Bud, were also volunteers for PALs (People Able to Lend Support), driving older individuals to/and from appointments for many years. Friends may call at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on MONDAY from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sts. Simon and Jude Church, Greentree Road on TUESDAY morning at 10:00. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery will be private.
