Bertha Hopkinson ('Toots') Sprecace

Age 94, of Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Moon Township, peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017. Beloved wife for 42 years of the late Philip S. Sprecace; devoted mother of Ralph ‘Bud’ (Jean) Mason of Columbia, SC, the late Judy and Donna Mason; sister of the late Mervin, James (Nancy) and Robert Hopkinson, Mercedes Bird, Betty Zigler, Neva Darrogo; loving grandmother of Shelly (Chris) Devine of Pittsburgh, Jennifer (the late Anthony) Butler of Homestead, Kathy Giannakos Miller-Slaughter, and James (Sabrina) Giannakos all of South Carolina; proud great-grandmother of Collin, Liam, Anthony, Cameron and Kaitlyn; also survived by nieces and nephews. Bertha was previously a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Moon Township. She was an avid, accomplished golfer well in to her 70’s with a hole-in-one on her card. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00p.m. with Services in the funeral home Thursday morning at 11 o’clock.
