Charles "Chuck" Warder McCarty

Chuck passed away age 91 peacefully at his home in Mount Lebanon on Friday, May 5, 2017. Born in Columbus, Ohio on May 1, 1925. Beloved husband of Corinne “Connie” and the late Ruth; devoted father of Joan McCarty, David (Sarah) McCarty, Nancy Lewis, Barbara Jenkins, John (Jane) McCarty, Daniel (Cindy) Gray, Diane (Roy) Holmes, Darryl Gray and Chip (Beverly) Gray; also survived by twenty grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Chuck overcame many obstacles to become the man God called him to be. He served in the Navy during WW II and later graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Electrical Engineering. A man of noble character, he shared his faith, hard work and dedication with family and friends. Chuck was a long time, active member of Mt. Lebanon Christian Church where he taught Sunday school, sang bass in the choir and board officer. Friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon MONDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Mount Lebanon Christian Church 367 Cedar Blvd., Mount Lebanon Tuesday, morning at 11 O’clock.
