Dorothy B. Stuedler-Blue

Age 92, of Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Born November 26, 1923 in Vandergrift, PA, a daughter of the late Herbert R. and Pauline (George) Bush; beloved wife of the late Charles Blue and Robert Stuedler; step-mother of Cindy Peterson, Bonnie Fitzgerald and Robin McMillan; sister of H. Ralph Bush, Jr., Polly Huffman and the late Harriet Wiskeman; also survived by several step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and was a retired Vice-President of Trusts for PNC Bank. She was a former member and volunteer of St. Clair Auxiliary, a member of Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church, was active in Junior Achievement and a Board Member of the American Red Cross. Dorothy’s passions included vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, DE with family; singing in the Vandergrift Presbyterian Choir and plays by Gilbert and Sullivan, planting her gardens of gardenias and geraniums including the Cross of living flowers which she planted at her church in Florida and bowling. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Dormont Presbyterian Church and loved classical 40’s and 50’s music. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon Saturday, February 6 from 11 AM until time of Services at 1:00 PM. If desired, memorials in Dorothy’s honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
