Florence "Myke" (O'Connor) Zimmerman

Age 94, of Mount Lebanon, on Monday, April 25, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Zimmerman (Lieutenant Colonel U. S. Army Retired), proud mother of Robert M. Zimmerman and his wife Katie of Cecil; loving grandmother of Hannah (Dan) Wright, Jesse (Catherine), Thomas (Colette), Zachary (Caris), Miles, Alex, R. J., Joseph and Mary Kate; great-grandmother of Harris, Thomas Jr., Beatrice, Rebecca, Ava, Oliver and Liam; also survived by nieces and nephews. Florence, affectionately known as Myke, was a proud 1st Lieutenant Army nurse during WWII who for the past 8 years lived at Vanadium Woods. She was extremely dedicated to the care of her family, was a long time member of St. Thomas More Church and loved to attend Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concerts. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Thursday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Child Parish Church, Friday morning at 10 o’clock (Everyone Please Meet at Church). Interment Mount Lebanon Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Holy Child Parish, 212 Station Street, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
