Frances A. (Kokinakis) Mineo

Age 90, of Sunrise Assisted Living in Upper St. Clair, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Carl J. Mineo whom she married on October 25, 1953; loving mother of Carla M. Mineo and Beatrice A. (John) McGonigle, devoted grandmother of Kristen Keniray, Kevin Keniray, Ashley (McGonigle) Scheid, John McGonigle and Alexandra McGonigle; wonderful great-grandmother to Madelyn Scheid, Audrey Scheid, Rosalyn Keniray and Elaina Keniray; sister of the late John and George Kokinakis, Evelyn (Jack) Walsh, Beatrice (George) Lamprinakos and Elaine Reimenschneider; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Fran advanced through the ranks of AT&T to become a Marketing Supervisor. After retirement, her greatest joy was spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She loved to discuss current events and politics. After moving to Sunrise, she became a tireless advocate supporting her friends and fellow residents. Family and friends will gather at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon Thursday, February 15 from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint John Capistran Church, Friday morning at 11 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veteran’s Leadership Program of Western PA or Housing Research and Advocacy Center of Cleveland, OH.
