Frederick W. Kracklauer

Age 82, of Mt. Lebanon, on Saturday January 23, 2016. Husband of 59 years to Patricia Snethen Kracklauer; father of the late William Kracklauer (Liane Pei) of New York City, Julia Tomer (Chris) of Mt. Lebanon and Beth Kracklauer of Pittsburgh; grandfather of Caitlin Griffiths (Carl), William Tomer, Matthew Kracklauer and Nora Tomer; great-grandfather of Oliver and Theodore Griffiths; also survived by his sister, JoAnn Weidmann of Pewaukee, WI, his brother, John Kracklauer of Longmont, CO, and a large and loving extended family. Fred was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He worked as a representative for manufacturers of chemical and industrial equipment in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Africa, and founded CPI Equipment, Inc., in Pittsburgh. A visitation will be held at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Rd. Mt. Lebanon, Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 3-7 PM.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church, 311 Washington Rd., Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 North Linden St. Duquesne, PA 15110.
