80, of Peters Twp, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Daughter of the late C. Hollis and Harriett Dickerson Hull; beloved wife for 32 years of James Montie Rea, Jr.; devoted mother of Peter H. Maehling (Ruth C.), Mark S. Maehling (Patricia K.), Kevin S. Maehling (Stacy L.), David B. Rea (Linda M.) and Eva R. Ward (Kenneth J.); dear sister of Helen Hull Ross (Robert M.); loving grandmother of Jessie C. Green (Alan), Amanda M. Gingrich (Eric), Jayson R. Williams, Ryan T. Young (Rocio A.), Kiera H. Maehling, Garrett A. Rea, Dorian F. Rea (Megan) and Lorraine C. Rea; great-grandmother of Ainsley  J. Green, Miles P. Gingrich, Glen A. Young, and Madison A. Rea; special aunt of Amy R. Jolly (Peter T.); great-aunt of Elizabeth G. Jolly; also survived by many cousins and friends. Harriett was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and attended Purdue University. She was co-founder of  Engineered Communications, Inc., where she served as treasurer for many years until she retired in 2009 with the sale of the company. She was a Fellow in the Radio Club of America. Harriett was a long-time volunteer at St. Clair Hospital and was past president of St. Clair Hospital Auxiliary. She became a member of St. Clair Hospital Board of Directors and served on 5 different committees during her tenure as Board Member. Harriett was an avid Bridge player and loved to travel and scrapbook. She always had a smile for everyone and was quite a classy lady. Viewing hours have been omitted. All are welcome to attend her Memorial Service in the Sanctuary at Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park, on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.  The family will receive friends at a luncheon at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Clair Hospital Foundation, 1000 Bower Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15243
