Janet (Murgi) Vernacchio

82, of Mt. Lebanon, suddenly on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Daughter of the late Luigi and Marion Murgi; beloved mother of Terry (Tom) Vietmeier, Lou (Lengko) Vernacchio, Al (Pam) Vernacchio, Vince (Debbie) Vernacchio and Christine (Joe) Johns; sister of the late Marie Knight, Alfred, Frank and Leonard Murgi; loving grandmother of thirteen  and great-grandmother of one. Janet was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose greatest devotion was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bingo. Friends will be received Friday, February 2, 2018, from 2-8 pm at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
