Joan B. (Bradfield) Harden

June 30, 1927 ~ November 21, 2016 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Age  89, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Monroeville, PA. A resident of Mt. Lebanon and Monroeville, she was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Charles F. Harden. She was the daughter of the late Stephen A. Bradfield and Sarah Anna Snodgrass, and stepdaughter of Lorene Wigal of Parkersburg, WV. Joan was also the loving mother of Stephania Ann (John) Harden-Martin and Mary (Clark) Remington; AWESOME Grammy of Misty (Ray) Bogler, Giacomo Cardello II, Evanda (Shelley) Remington, Grace Wright (Charles) Remington, and Alyssa Remington; Great-Grammy of Elijah, Isaiah and Clark Remington and Jake Bogler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family.Born in Sistersville, WV, Joan grew up in Spencer, WV and worked as a reporter for The Times Record before moving to Cleveland, OH, where she worked in the Bell Telephone drafting department. After moving to Mt. Lebanon, she worked in the Mt. Lebanon School District until her retirement. She was an active community and church volunteer, a talented musician, and she enjoyed a variety of interests from sewing to kayaking. Most of all, she was the gentle and loving center of our family who, forever, will be 29 years-old. Family Plans No Viewing.. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3 at 2 pm at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church (Sanner Chapel). Interment will be private at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alzfdn.org) or Mt.
