Karen Ann Dressler

Age 58,  passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Kane Regional Health Center in Scott Township.  She is survived by her mother, Erna Kourian of Providence Point in Scott Twp.; a sister, Catherine Dressler (Mark) Erickson of Mt. Lebanon; two brothers, Donald (Renee’) Dressler of Houston, TX; and Robert (Rosann) Dressler of Louisville, CO. Also surviving are four nieces: Marie Erickson of Mt. Lebanon; Anna (Scott) Deans and Sarah (Bobby) Tyson, both of Houston, TX, and Catherine Dressler of Denver, CO; one nephew, Thomas (Amanda) Dressler of Louisville, CO; and grand-nieces Jillian and Elsie Deans and Avery Dressler, and grand-nephew Milo Tyson. Karen was born in St. Louis, Mo., and grew up in New Orleans, La. She studied landscape architecture at Louisiana State University and loved to draw and paint. About 13 years ago, Karen moved to Bellevue, where she enjoyed living and made many friends.  In January 2016, she suffered an aortic dissection and moved to Kane. A memorial service will be held at Providence Point in Scott Twp. on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 2:30 p.m. with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Kane Foundation, Scott Twp.
