I, too, met Lindsay through MST3K, over 20 years ago, and have always been grateful for her friendship. She was a rare person: smart, kind, fun, funny, loyal, supportive, respectful, private, creative, and talented, and so much more. I am glad to have known her, and I will miss her.

May I offer my prayers and condolences to Lindsay's family and friends. Having been introduced to Lindsay by way of a mutual friend, albeit via email and telephone, I knew her to be so kind, sweet, and highly intelligent, and I absolutely adored her books, especially Cel and Anna, which I still believe would make a wonderful film. I remember posting a favorable review on Amazon quite a while ago, thinking there were more to come. I am so sad today that we have lost such a person, writer, and friend.

I never met Lindsay in person. We first crossed paths on an Internet discussion group about the TV show "Due South" and then continued exchanging personal e-mails for many years. We also talked on the phone for a while, but hadn't done that for many years. We mainly compared opinions about various TV shows. We recommended movies and books to each other. She liked the pictures I took of my cats. I gave her feedback on her first novel, which she seemed to appreciate. For someone whom I didn't really know, her absence suddenly creates a gap in my life.

As a Fellow Fan of MST3K, I knew Lindsay for her warm, intelligent, insightful comments and her lovely sense of humor. A bright ray of light has left us, but she is at peace.

Lindsay was a wonderful writer but more than that a kind and compassionate soul. I never met her in person and I wish so much that I'd had that opportunity. She meant so much to me. We encouraged each other. She was always such an inspiration. I will miss her and I will miss the books she never got the chance to write.

I knew Lindsay for over 20 years. It's almost impossible to believe she's been lost to us. We first met as fans of a TV program (MST3K), a show that has bonded us and our mutual friends together to this day. Lindsay was kind, thoughtful, and caring. I will miss her friendship, voice and laughter, always.

Like Sam and Dave, I met Lindsay through our mutual love of MST3K, but we also shared great interest in cats, bluegrass music, and Pittsburgh. It's hard to imagine a world without Lindsay's kindness and laughter. My deepest condolences to her family and of course to Annie T. Cat.

I'm one more from the group of people who met online as fans of MST3k, became friends online and off, and are all very sad to learn that we've lost Lindsay. I'm going to miss her wit, kindness, and her writing. I feel very lucky to have known her.

My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends.

I am also a member of the group that met Lindsay and bonded through our shared love of MST3K. She was a lovely person; always kind and thoughtful and funny. The world is brighter for her having been here, and I'm glad to have had her as a part of my life.

My deepest condolences to all of her family and dear friends.

I'm so very sorry to know she's gone. Lindsay was an extraordinary woman of intelligence and humour, as well as a fine writer. Our lives have been much enriched by her bright spirit. My heart goes out to all who love her.

I knew Lindsay for 20 years but never actually met her. I think many variations of that sentence will be posted here from her friends who shared her love for Mystery Science Theater 3000. That is how I met her, on a CompuServe forum for a group of people who loved that show. And decades later, we are still friends. But very sad friends, today.

As is, indeed, true of me, I never met Lindsay, but - around the time of Hoban 2005 [www.hoban2005.co.uk] and afterwards - exchanged some thoughts with her about #AI.

I really do now need to spend some time in looking at her writing...
