Manuel G. Calvelo, M.D.

Manuel G. Calvelo, M.D., aged 75, of Mt. Lebanon peacefully on July 16th, 2015.  He was the beloved husband of Patricia for 48 years and the caring father to his daughters Elizabeth (Carlos) Noreña and Katherine (Mark) Ingraham and son of the late Felix and Juliana. He is also survived by his sisters Fe and Elisa and brother José and predeceased by his brothers Alfredo and Felix, who gave him many nephews and nieces. He was also adored by his grandchildren Carlos, Lucia and Laura. Originally from Manila, Philippines, he graduated as valedictorian from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine in 1964. He then worked as a cardiologist at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh for most of his life, and his many patients loved him for his warmth and compassion. Close friends and family will be received at their family home on Sunday from 2-6.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Manuel’s name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. http://www.lls.org/
