Marcia E. (Walkowiak) Grant

Age 70, of Mount Lebanon, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, on Friday, June 10, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Munro “Jack” Grant; loving mother of “Katy” Grant of Mount Lebanon; sister of Robert “Bob” Walkowiak (Michele) of New Orleans and Nancy Walkowiak of North Carolina; aunt of Gordon Walkowiak. Marcia did her undergraduate studies at Allegheny College and earned her Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. She was technical writer with Mellon Bank for 12 years. Marcia was very active with the Democratic Committee and the Denis Theatre Foundation. She participated in a film class in Mt. Lebanon, was a member of 2 book clubs and an avid theater supporter. Marcia truly loved her cats and traveling. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon Sunday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. Family and friends will convene at the funeral home, Monday morning at 10:30 for a procession to Mount Lebanon Cemetery for interment services. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Pittsburgh.
