Age 84, of Whitehall, formerly of Dormont, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Beloved wife of the late William E. Brenchak; devoted mother of Roni (the late Ray) Spencer, Valerie Ainsworth and Melinda Brenchak; loving grandmother of Joshua (Melissa) Spencer, Jacob (Erin) Spencer, Raya (Sean) Lynch, Christa (Spencer) Mulligan, Caleb Spencer and William J. Ainsworth, III; great grandmother of Shea, Madison, Talan, Aubrey, Sienna, Brooks and Coby; sister of Michele (Richard) Pyle; cousin of Robert “Bobby” Post; also survived by nieces and nephews. Maxine loved to crochet, her crafts and art work both at home or at the Seton Center of Brookline, where she acquired the nick name “Crash” from the staff and friends. Previously Maxine attend California University of Pennsylvania, was a member of Brookline Junior Women’s Club and was an actress in Sherwood Forest and Little Lake Theaters. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Friday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Pamphilus Church, 1000 Tropical Avenue, Pittsburgh, Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Animal Rescue League.
