Steven M. Nourie

Age 59, of Mt. Lebanon, on Friday, February 17, 2017. Loving father of Olivia S. and Blake O. Nourie; husband of Heather S. Heidelbaugh for twenty-two years; son of Alice and the late Thomas O. Nourie; brother of Jeffrey Nourie, Rhonda Judd and Andrea McCrum; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Steve was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and a 1979 graduate of West Virginia University. He earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and served as student President of the College of Engineering. Steve then worked for Kaiser Aluminum, Consolidated Aluminum (St. Louis, MO) and then became the President of American Metal Wash, Inc. of Canonsburg, PA. He was the proud holder of 5 U. S. Engineering Patents and was recognized for environmental stewardship.  Steve was awarded Eagle Scout in 1971 and was proud that his son Blake was also an Eagle Scout. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church, Thursday morning at 11:00 o’clock. (Everyone Please Meet at Church) Interment will be private. If desired, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 501 Martindale St. #670, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, in honor of his daughter Olivia.
