William E. Keen

Age 83, of Bradenton, FL, and originally from Mt. Lebanon, PA, died peacefully surrounded by his loving daughters, on Tuesday October 31, 2017. Son of the late George Morris Keen, Jr. and the late Dorothy Zitzman Keen; devoted father of William E. Keen, II and his wife, Noraswa, Jane Mellenkamp and Susan Deschenes and her husband, Matthew; loving grandfather of Michael Keen, Emily Keen, Jessie Bowen, Megan Mellenkamp, Jeremy Fuller and Brady Fuller; great-grandfather of Andrew (AJ) Bowen; brother of George (Bud) Keen, his wife Betsy, and their daughters Liz Hartz, Laura Server, and Jenny Herbert. Bill was the owner and operator of Keen Marketing Service, with offices in Hamburg, NY, Charlotte, NC, and Sarasota, FL. Bill loved the game of golf more than any other activity on earth. Thanks in large part to the encouragement of his daughter, Susan, he became an avid skier later in life and enjoyed traveling the world to ski. Bill loved, adored and respected his mother and spoke highly of her accomplishments. She was one of the greatest inspirations in his life. Bill also loved his older brother, Bud, and went out his way each and every year to make sure that his children spent time with Bud and his family. The family will receive friends at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Monday morning, November 6, 2017, from 10:30 until 11:30. His funeral service will follow in the Chapel at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 509 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, at 12:00 Noon.
