Barbara Ann Folger

Barbara Ann (Fialla) Folger, age 80 of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Donald J. Folger; devoted mother of Beth Ann Folger (Ernest Miller) of Pittsburgh, Christina Folger (Andrew Miller) of Oregon and Donald J. Folger Jr. of Pittsburgh; and loving and extraordinarily fun grandmother of Lydia and Camille Miller and Daniel Folger. Barb loved to travel around the country and around the world. Her trip to Africa was her greatest adventure. She loved the beach and the warm breezes of Florida’s Gulf Coast, the giant redwoods of northern California, and the rugged coastlines of the Pacific Northwest. Barb was eternally curious, creative and young at heart, hosting elaborate Victorian Christmas teas and Derby Day celebrations. She loved volunteering in the paleontology lab at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and working in fine jewelry at Kaufmann’s.  She was full of love, light and joy, which will always be remembered and shared by those she leaves behind. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anne Church (St. Paul the Cross Parish), Hoodridge Drive on Monday at 10:00 a.m. If desired, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc.: Greater Pittsburgh Chapter (Alz.org).
