Carl Rychcik, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at the age of 85. After several years of declining health, Carl died peacefully in his sleep with loving wife of 52 years, Natalie, by his side. Carl was born in Pittsburgh on April 13, 1935 to Frank and Veronica Rychcik. He was the youngest of 12 children. After serving in the Army, Carl was the first in his family to graduate from college, earning a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. Following college Carl worked for Duquesne Light Company for over 40 years. Nothing was more important to Carl than his family. His infectious sense of humor and love of life was apparent to all who had the pleasure of being around him. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings. He is survived by his wife Natalie; children Carl (Elizabeth), Paul and Carolyn (Michael Machajewski); grandchildren Kaitlyn and Connor; sister Lorraine Cvetic and countless nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Friday 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Bernard Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society 1101 Western Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
