Dianne E. Dencler (Davis) of Mt. Lebanon, PA passed away on Thursday, May 27 at the age of 84, with family by her side. Dianne was born in Pittsburgh on June 1, 1936, to Katharyn (Shannon) and Bernard Davis Sr. She was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School and West Penn School of Nursing. While working as an industrial nurse, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. Following graduation, she continued her nursing career at West Penn Hospital. Beloved wife for 57 years of John A. Dencler; loving mother to four daughters, Susan (James) Harter, Amy Dencler (Lore Olds), Jennifer Dencler, and Cynthia (Steven) Schaab; sister of Dr. Bernard B. Davis, Jr. (Leila), and Karen Mascaro; also survived by a nephew and six nieces. She shared her love of gardening, bird watching, and especially cooking with family, friends, and neighbors. Every week the house was filled with the aromas of freshly baked bread, other baked goods, and expertly prepared dinners. As a grandmother, Dianne (or Gia) developed a special relationship with each one of her six grandchildren; Brienne, Cora, Zachary, Noah, Nicholas, and Sarah. She cherished each moment she spent with them and cultivated in each of them a love for nature and homemade food .Arrangements are private.
