Donna Lu Labbett

a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023, at the age of 79.

Donna was born on March 29, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Donald and Lucille (Stoehr) Daugherty. She was the eldest of two children and is survived by her brother, Raymond Daugherty.

Donna attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned her degree in education. Donna was a dedicated teacher for many years. She was known for her patience, kindness, and dedication to her students.

Aside from her career in education, Donna had many hobbies, including knitting and spending time with her beloved cats. She was also a devoted mother to her son, Mark Labbett, who was the center of her world.

Donna's memory will be cherished by her family, including her son Mark, as well as her grandchildren, Michael Labbett and Amanda Carlson; along with her three great-grandchildren, Cade, Colt and Addie Carlson, who will also miss their "Dommy" dearly.

Donna was a kind and loving soul who touched the lives of so many people, whom she loved to write letters and notes to almost every day.  She will be missed, but her legacy will live on in the memories of those who knew her. May she rest in peace.

All are welcome to her Memorial Service on Saturday afternoon, March 25th at 3:00 in Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park, PA.
