Irene Marie "Sissy" (Taylor) Corwin

Age 54, of Castle Shannon, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Originally of Washington, PA a daughter of the late Patricia S. (Doyle) Taylor Kemp and Robert B. Taylor and raised by her grandparents Charles A. and Irene F. Doyle. Beloved wife for almost 22 years of Jay D. Corwin; loving mother of Ashley M. Bachorski and Tabitha K. Corwin; sister of Jon (Rhonda) Taylor, Christine (Cathy) Kemp and the late Robert J. Taylor, Jr.; cousins she grew up with, April, Tommy and Kim Doyle; also survived by the best in-laws a girl could ask for, Charlie and Lydia Corwin; nieces, nephews and her Springer Spaniel, Pepper. Irene was extremely proud of her girls as they were her shinning stars. She was a 1985 graduate of Washington High School and got her Masters Degree in Nursing from Robert Morris University. Love to all her nursing colleagues who worked side by side with her saving lives in the trenches at UPMC since 1994. She was a lifelong member of Disciples of Christ and most recently a member of Mt. Lebanon Christian Church. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Castle Shannon on Wednesday from 4:00 until time of Service at 7:00 o’clock. Interment will be private. If desired, memorials may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research.
