Margaret Florence (Turek) Paskey

Margaret Paskey passed away peacefully on Saturday July26, 2020 at the Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care Center, Bridgeville, PA.    Margaret formerly lived in West Mifflin with her husband Donald until his death and  then moved to the Brookdale/Devonshire in Mt. Lebanon, PA  for 10 years; one of which she served as President of the Resident Council.

Margaret was born in 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of Antoni and Stella (Jakubowski), Turek.  Margaret grew up on the South Side with her brothers Francis, Stanley, and sisters Florence (Volovich) and Elizabeth (Thompson).  Margaret’s immediate family have all predeceased her.

Margaret graduated from South High School in 1944.  She moved to Homestead, PA after marrying Donald G. Paskey and they both became very active in St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish.  She supported Donald during his work at U.S. Steel Homestead Works and his involvement with the Tri Boro Credit Union as past treasurer and board of Directors.  Donald predeceased Margaret in 2004 after 53 years of marriage.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory nephews, Thomas Volovich (Marlene), James Volovich (Tiffany), Thomas C.Thompson (Ann) and niece, Nancy Thompson (Ronald).  Also, three great nephews, and six great great nieces & nephews. Interment in South Side Cemetery was on Wednesday July 29, 2020.
