Marilyn Dysert Obituary

Marilyn A. (Dutko) Dysert, age 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh on March 16, 1938, the daughter of Evelyn Boggs and Andrew Dutko.

She is survived by three children: Scott Dysert (Donna) of Hampton Township, Nancy Marshall (Dean) of Mount Lebanon and Jennifer Mensch (Matt) of Hillsboro, Oregon and five grandchildren:  John, Christopher and Lindsey Marshall and Elena and Maria Dysert. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Kacurak and her nephew David Kacurak.

Known as “Duck” to her lifelong girlfriends, she never lost her sense of humor. Marilyn was a graduate of South Hills High School in Pittsburgh and married beloved husband Bob in 1964. They resided in Pittsburgh – mainly in Green Tree - to raise their family. Bob passed away only seven weeks ago, in December 2023. In their final years back in Pittsburgh, he visited her daily and they still had many capers together.

Marilyn began her career in the banking field, where she worked at Pittsburgh National Bank. She was then a long-time employee of Automatic Data Processing (ADP) where she did payroll accounting. Marilyn also handled the accounting for husband Bob’s security business for 20 years.

Upon her retirement, Marilyn and husband Bob moved to Southwest Florida where they resided and were members of the Pelican Sound Golf and River Club in Estero, FL. Marilyn was an avid golfer, and was also a member of the Beach & Tennis Club in Bonita Springs. They enjoyed a wonderful retirement and made many friends from all over the country.
