Robert S. Wisdom

On Monday October 4, 2021. Born in New Jersey, Robert ("Bob") S. Wisdom grew up in Brazil. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1963 and attended Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) until 1965 when illness interrupted his studies to become a concert pianist. Bob worked at AT&T phone company for over 25 years. He was an avid writer and published From Healing to Redemption: A Personal Story of Healing in 2014. He loved to travel and went to many countries including Israel, Spain, Portugal, Italy and the Soviet Union. Of profound faith, he was a communicant at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church while living in Chatham Towers in Pittsburgh. He moved to Vanadium Woods Village and joined Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church on Kane Blvd. Bob is survived by his brother William J. Wisdom, and sisters Betty Jean Wisdom of Pittsburgh, Marianne Oines (Bob) of FL and nephew Darren W. Challey (Michelle) of Arizona. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church, on Wednesday October 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
