William Edward Boggs, Jr.

age 91, of Dormont (Pittsburgh), PA on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Son of the late William E. Boggs and Helen (Krugh) Boggs: brother of Jean Marie Boggs, S.C., James S. and (Judith DeMent) Boggs, the late Ruth Anne and Charles Francis Boggs: uncle of Christine Marie (Thomas) Razler and Jean Elizabeth Boggs; great-uncle of Joshua and Madeline Razler; also survived by many friends and neighbors. Bill was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a proud U.S. Army Veteran.  He was a scholar and avid reader, former editor at Scientific American Magazine and an author of numerous articles and publications. In addition, Bill was an architectural planner, was active at restoring historic structures and excelled at playing tennis.  Bill’s love of classical music led him to produce programs for the University of Rhode Island radio station for many years.  Family and friends may Gather at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Monday March 25th from 12 noon until a Blessing Service at 1:00 o’clock. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
