Claire Emery

Claire Emery (Leddie Hartner), age 77, of Mt. Lebanon died on May 7, 2018. She was the beloved wife for 54 years of the late William R. Emery; loving mother of William G. Emery (Pam), Janis Emery Feron and Jill Emery; devoted grandmother of Sophie and Alex Feron. Claire was a 1959 graduate of Baldwin High School and completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh. She was a teacher and reading specialist in the Mt. Lebanon School District for 34 years. She was a life member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Pitt Alumni Association, South Hills College Club and PSERS. Claire loved learning about different cultures and had a great sense of adventure. She and her husband travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Americas and beyond. Claire also enjoyed many travels and cultural events with her daughters. At her request, there will be no visitation.
