Elizabeth V. Bette' Sahar

Age 91, of Mt. Lebanon, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Beloved mother of Richard D. (Sue) Sahar of West Newton, PA and Elizabeth A. Sahar of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister of the late Lt. Sylvester W. Sankey and Wade E. Sankey; loving grandmother of Laura (Bill) Oknefski; great grandmother of Patrick. Bette had acquired her pilots license at age 15 while in High School and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She was an Ohio State Graduate, Class of 52. She worked in various capacities in Mount Lebanon Township administration for over 25 years before joining the law firm of Dickey, McCamey and Chilcote. Bette was a very active member of the Dormont Presbyterian Church for many years. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, Sunday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Services in the Funeral Home Chapel, Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park. If desired, memorials mat be made to the Dormont Historical Society.
