Fred A. Haller

Age 90, formerly of Mount Lebanon and Peters Township, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Beloved husband for 54 years of the late Patricia (Pelissier) Haller; proud father of Kathleen Messimer, Michael, Joseph, Thomas, Patrick, Fred Jr. and the late Mark Haller; brother of John “Jack”, the late Rev. Joseph, Grace, Leo, and Frank Haller; loving grandfather of Christopher, Nicholas, Austin, Daniel, Patrick, Katy, Sara, Angela, Finn, Penny and Nolan; also survived by nieces and nephews. Fred was a proud Army Veteran and a devout Roman Catholic. In 1950, he graduated from Carnegie Tech. with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and when he returned from the service went to work for Carrier Corp. where he aspired to become Vice-President of Sales. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon on Friday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities or a charity of your choice.
