Joan (Stein) Marshall

  Joan Marshall, dedicated wife of the late Thomas Marshall, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on November 22, 2017, at the age of 89. As a Pittsburgh native, Joan will be most remembered for her love of family, faith, and patriotism. Joan touched countless lives and her legacy lives on through her heartfelt words, “U R Special,” which she shared with all of her family whom she held dear. Those words will infinitely live in the hearts of those who are survived by her; four children, Thomas J. Marshall, Jeffery A. Marshall, William H. Marshall and Sue Marshall Roberts; ten grandchildren, Brian, Tim, Kevin, Kathleen, Briana, Ryan, Brooke, Jessica, Ty and Riley; and nine great grandchildren, Reed, Nate, Gracie, Sara, Reagan, Luke, Noah, Brooks and Brody. Joan was a graduate of Langley High School. She enjoyed travel, tennis and paddle tennis, and was a gifted artist. She volunteered her time with the Women’s Auxiliary of the Salvation Army and worshiped at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s honor to the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, 700 N. Bell Ave., Carnegie, PA 15106.
