Jana was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Mt. Mercy Academy and the University of Pittsburgh. She married Clifford L.Tuttle in 1946 and lived in Mt. Lebanon where they raised five children. "Jana" is survived by her son Clifford L. Tuttle, Jr. of Pittsburgh, and her four daughters, Catherine (Cathy) Tuttle of Pittsburgh, Joan Tuttle of Pittsburgh, Julianne Wycoff of Maryland, Paula Tuttle of Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law Marylyn, sons-in-law Michael, Richard and Bruce respectively; three grandchildren, Francesca LIes of California, Michaela Lies of Pittsburgh and Nina Wycoff of Maryland. The Tuttles have lived in Longboat Key and Sarasota since moving to Florida more than two decades ago. In the mid-1980's, she and her husband were active participants in the establishment of a group of independent community living residences for special-needs adults forming a charitable organization called Southwinds Inc. Southwinds has continued to operate successfully for over three decades. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 10 o'clock in St. Bernard Church where she and her husband had been members. She will be buried in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Southwinds Inc. 2101 Greentree Road Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
