Marie J. Resavage

Marie (“Munya”) J. Resavage, 87, of Castle Shannon, went home to her Lord on Tuesday September 12, 2017. Beloved wife for 68 years of George J. Resavage; loving mother of Lawrence G. (Linda) Resavage, Kathleen M. (the late Bobby) Esposito, Darlene M. (Buck) Blackburn and Georgianna (David) Wytovich; grandmother of Michael L. (Amy) Resavage, Allison L. (James) Basso, Stacey L. Resavage, Stephanie M. Wytovich and Scott A. Wytovich; great grandmother of Madelyn M. Chase and Nicholas L. Basso. Marie, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Bartnik) Lacek, was born August 10, 1930 in Bethel Park. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Anne’s Catholic Church where she was employed as a housekeeper for over 30 years. In addition to her love for her family, Marie also enjoyed playing bingo, nurturing her beautiful flower garden, shopping with her daughters, playing cards and traveling around the world. Marie was known for her outstanding baking skills and her cookies were enjoyed by family and friends on many occasions. Also known as “Gunkie” and “Nana”, her generous heart and spunky attitude will be greatly missed, her memory forever cherished. Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Friday September 15, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Catholic Church, Castle Shannon, on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Anne Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Marie may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 255 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60601 or to the Bobby J.
