Age 86 of Asbury Heights, formerly of Castle Shannon, on Monday, December 18, 2017. Devoted mother of Paul (Janet), Gail (Jim) Triscila, Dan (Kimberly), Sam, Matthew (Marion), Alan (DeAnn) and the late Joan Scabilloni; loving grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of ten; sister of Lawrence Cindrich, Margaret Bradshaw, Nicholas Cindrich and the late Jane Nicola; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mary has long been a pillar in the South Hills. For over half a century she volunteered with the Boy Scouts, ran their summer day camp and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award, their highest honor. She was a member of the Castle Shannon Revitalization Committee, an active volunteer for the Castle Shannon Community Day a former president of the Castle Shannon Women’s Guild, on the Board of the Castle Shannon Library and a member of the Castle Shannon Senior Citizens. Mary was a former president of the Auxiliary of the Sisters of St. Francis, a member Castle Shannon Meals on Wheels and former president of the Heritage Players Theatrical Group in Bethel Park. She was also a member of the ladies Red Hat Society.Her passions also included drawing, painting and was well known for her button collection. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Castle Shannon, Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 and Thursday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin, Friday afternoon at 12:30. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to either of the above organization in her honor.
