Raymond J. Golebie, Sr.

90, of Castle Shannon, peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Beloved husband and best friend for 58 years of the late Emma Amelia Fontana Golebie; devoted father of Keith (Elaine), Mark (Cynthia), Paul (Susie) and the late Raymond J. Golebie, Jr.; cherished “Pappy” & “Pap Pap” of Emma, Curtis, Katherine Pici (Tony), Joshua, Michael, Elizabeth, Daniel, James and the late Amanda Golebie; "Great-Pappy" of Eden; brother of Lucille “Susie” Wolanin and the late Edwin Golebiewski; brother-in-law of Robert (Rose) Fontana and the late Armeda Bonura, Yolanda Bonura, Constantino “Gus” Fontana, Alexander “Sam” Fontana and Freddie Fontana; also survived by three generations of nieces and nephews. Ray was an Army Veteran of WW-II. He was a treasurer for First Federal Savings and Loan, and controller for both Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging and The Ursuline Center. He was a 39-year member of The Serra Club of Pittsburgh, where he served as vice-president of communications . Ray was a true gentleman and a friend to all who knew him. The family will receive friends at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Inc., 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Thursday Evening from 6-8PM and on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Winifred Church on Saturday at 12:30PM. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery.
