Robert Glenn Clark

September 3, 1929 ~ January 10, 2018 (age 88) 88 Years Old


Age 88, of Pittsburgh died peacefully on January 10, 2018.  He was born September 3, 1929, on the family farm in Lewis County, WV.  He was the son of the late Frank Aldis Clark and Audra Sims Clark of Skin Creek.  He graduated from Weston High School, attended Potomac State College and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He was employed by Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Pittsburgh, PA, before serving two years in U.S. Army Intelligence in Germany.  Upon completion of his ROTC obligation, he resumed his career with Westinghouse eventually landing in Sharon, PA where he met his future wife, Betty Blastos, the only female draftswoman in the company.  They were married December 30, 1984, in Farrel, PA, and made their home in Pittsburgh where they enjoyed 33 years of marriage.  He continued to actively serve with the Army Reserves, retiring as a Colonel in 1987.  He retired from Westinghouse in 1990 after 35 years of service.  He and Betty loved traveling the world and working in their yard.  He was a Methodist by faith and attended Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Mt. Lebanon, PA.  He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Blastos Clark on December 29, 2017, who fought a brave battle with Alzheimer’s with Bob as her devoted caregiver, and his younger brother, Richard S. Clark of Weston, WV.  He is survived by his sister-in-law, BJ Clark, brother-in-law Paul Blastos (Joan), four nephews, two nieces, and several great nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at noon on January 13, at the Masonic Cemetery in Weston with Tim Conrad officiating.
