On Sunday, December 16th, Robert William Eggerton, 90, of Castle Shannon, PA, was called home to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Bob is survived by his wife Kathleen (Connolly); cherished father of four; Christine (Chuck) Peterson, Linda (Tony) Killmeyer and the late William and Kevin; loving “PopPop” of Katie (Bill) McWilliams, Chuck (Megan) Peterson, Kelly (Brandon) Killmeyer, Chelsea (Walt) Peterson and Anthony Killmeyer; also survived by his 7 great-grandchildren, Molly, Grace, Madison, Landon, Isla, Charlotte, Winnie and many extended family members. He was born on November 16th, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, he married his wife of 64 years in 1954. For 40 years Bob was a claims adjuster for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. His hobbies included being a photographer and filmmaker, driving across country, camping, listening to music and being outdoors. He spent the best of his 30 years of retirement being the greatest “PopPop” there has ever been. “Twee’ Twee’ Twee’ Twee… Twa.” Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Winifred Church on Friday at 10:00 AM.
