A. Joy (Scheck) Pajak

A. Joy Pajak, born Alyn Joy Scheck, age 82, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on May 31, 2025. Cherished daughter of the late Alan and Jessie (Bisset) Scheck; beloved wife of the late Edward Pajak; devoted mother of Christopher (JoAnn) Wagner and the late Stephen Wagner; loving stepmother of Linda Figura, James (Terri) Pajak, Stormy (James) Stasenko, and Daniel (Eva) Pajak; dearest grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; treasured aunt to Kristine (Scott) Peters and the late Kurtis Scheck; caring sister of the late James and Clarence Scheck.

Joy had a long career working as a physical education teacher and coach for Mt. Lebanon. She was a member of the Mt. Lebanon Women’s Golf League and the South Hills Community Bible Study (CBS). Joy was a friend to many and known for her generosity, compassion, devotion to God, and zest for life. She had a special way of bringing people together and welcoming everyone into her heart and home.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Joy’s life on June 21st at 11:00 a.m., for a memorial service at Mt. Lebanon Christian Church, 367 Cedar Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bridges Hospice (Bridgeshospice.org) or Mt. Lebanon Christian Church (mtlebocc.org).
