Albert (Al) J Marcin , 93, died peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Albert was born September 19, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA to Anthony & Frances (nee Spittle) Marcin.
He graduated from Mt Lebanon High School and enlisted in the Army in 1952. He served in the Korean War and was very proud of his service to his country. He worked for US Air for 24 years and retired in 1993. He was a free mason member for over 60 years with Lodge #45, and also a member of the American Legion Post #490. His family takes comfort knowing that his faith in Christ has made him whole and was welcomed into eternity with the loving embrace of Jesus.
Albert is survived by his sisters Eileen Brown and Martha (Glenn) Dugan; 9 nieces & nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews, and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother William B (Theresa) Marcin and his parents Anthony & Frances.
A viewing will be held at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd, Pittsburgh PA on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10am until the time of service at noon. Lunch to follow at 1:30pm at Gianna Via’s, 5301 Grove Road, Pittsburgh, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in memory of Albert to Christ United Methodist Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park PA 15102 or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
