Age 79, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. Daughter of the late Walter and Sophia Trynock; loving mother of Stephen (Susan) McGalla, Roxanne, Mark (Nicole) and Clayton (Connie) McGalla; dearest grandmother of Evan, Ian, Judah, Jeremiah, Mercy, Boaz, Kai, Aneri, Nico and Lili; caring great-grandmother of Garrett, Henry, Landon and Liam; beloved sister of Wally Trynock (Mary Kay Pavis).
Ann’s faith was an instrumental part of her life, and she was a long-time parishioner at Saints Simon and Jude Church. She was a very proud, caring and dedicated mother and grandmother. Ann shared a very special bond with her brother Wally and sister-in-law, Mary Kay. She was very proud of the fact that she went back to school while raising four children to earn her bachelor’s degree in education, with honors, from California University of Pennsylvania. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she moved on to teach special needs children in the Pittsburgh Public School system for close to three decades. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, however, the fourth quarters did not kill her.
Ann found love in cooking for family and friends. Sadly, the kitchen is now closed.
Family and friends will be welcomed on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saints Simon and Jude Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Scott Twp., on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
