Barbara (Joyce) Lamb

Of Mt. Lebanon, age 91, peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2020, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Lamb, and loving mother to Thomas F. (Katie) Lamb, Jr., James J. (Ann) Lamb, Michael E. (Jill) Lamb, and Barbara L. (Bill) Garvey; grandmother to Gavin (Cristin) Lamb, Conor (Hayley) Lamb, Coleman Lamb, Sarah Lamb, Ciaran Lamb, Claire Garvey, and Anne Garvey; great-grandmother to Teagan Kelly Lamb. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary Joyce, brothers Joseph, John, and Coleman Joyce, and her sister Frances Joyce. She also is survived by her sisters Patricia Joyce and Mary Helen Gannon, as well as many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a faithful member and volunteer at St. Bernard Parish, St. Lucy’s Auxiliary for the Blind, and Christian Mothers. She also was a charter member of LAOH Division 32, and a long-time member of the Federation of Democratic Women. The family will welcome friends at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road. Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, at St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road,  Mt. Lebanon. (Friends please meet at church) Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Lucy’s Guild for the Blind, (www.stlucysauxiliary.org) or the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, (www.pittsburghfoodbank.org). EVERYONE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE at both the funeral home and church. Thank you!
