Bernadette J. Capps

Bernadette J. Capps, 93, of Providence Point, Pittsburgh passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, at St Clair Hospital. Bernadette was the loving Mother of Leonard E Capps (Elissa) of Birmingham, Alabama; Daniel J Capps (predeceased by Susan Crowley Capps) of Stow, Ohio; Thomas E Capps (Lisa) of Baltimore Maryland; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bernadette was preceded in death, by parents John and Myrtle Stinson, sisters Dee Gigler, Rita Mutscher, Mary Jane Piel, and daughter-in-law Susan Lockmeyer Capps. Bernadette is also survived by her dear nieces and nephews, as well as many good friends at Providence Point. Prior to retirement, Bernadette was Sr. Vice President with the NPD Group in Port Washington, New York. After retirement, she enjoyed indoor gardening, needlework, sewing and alterations for friends at Providence Point, as well as acting (starring) in plays at Providence Point. Bernadette loved life, family, and friends. She was always positive and had a great sense of humor. Her Spirit was bigger than Life. Bernadette will be missed dearly by all who had the opportunity to know her. There will be a small private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor Should be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, Mount Lebanon.
