age 93, formerly a longtime resident of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, surrounded by her family in Leesburg, Virginia. Originally from Maam, Galway, Ireland she was born on July 27, 1930, in London, England, to Bridget and Martin Coyne. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 18 on the Queen Mary. In the States, she met the love of her life, William Sullivan, to whom she was married to for 54 years until his passing in 2008. Teresa was a member of St. Bernard Church and the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart where she displayed her unwavering faith and commitment to her Catholic beliefs. She was affectionately referred to by her family as St. Teresa for the way she lived her life. Although short in stature, she was physically and mentally tough. She was an avid sports fan, a fascinating storyteller, lover of books, and a dedicated supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Teresa was a nurturer, brave and courageous in her demeanor, grounded in her faith and a loyal and loving mother to her family, but she also was witty with a great sense of humor. She immigrated to the United States to remain with her family, and in doing so created a family of her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bridget and Martin, her husband, William, her sister Mary and her brothers, Martin Joe and Michael. She is survived by her four children Thomas (Amy) Sullivan, William (Cheryl) Sullivan, Timothy (Linda) Sullivan, and Marianne (Joseph) Nameth. Proud grandmother of Elizabeth (Ryan) Franceschina, Logan, Baylee (Homer) Scurlock, Delaney, Shane (Lisa), Daniel(Sami), Patrick, Michaela, Joseph, Jack, and Reese. Cherished great-grandmother of Lily, Declan, Elliot, Maclean, Teagan, Taryn, and Giovanna.
