Age 60, of Carnegie, PA, on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Bruce was born on February 19, 1964, a son of the late Raymond J. and Shirley (Richmond) McCoy and originally from Linesville, PA. He was the beloved husband for 21 years of Judy (Schmitt) McCoy; loving father of Sara McCoy; also survived by his twin brother Brian (late Denise), Phyllis Fenn (Joe) and Terry Copeland; along many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bruce enjoyed yard work, lounging on his hammock and following local sports teams (Pirates, Steelers, Pitt, & Duquesne). Fall was his favorite time of the year because that meant football season. Football Sundays were sacred to Bruce -- everyone knew don't even try to call or visit while the games were on -- you will be ignored! Bruce loved to travel, as well and spend time with his wife and daughter exploring new dining venues. He was an avid hunter years ago, which left him cherished memories of being with his Dad in the great outdoors. He enjoyed visits back home to eat an Eddie's Footlong Hotdog (or two) and a Hank's Frozen Custard! Bruce was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone and loved home improvement projects. He overcame many challenges and lived life well. Bruce will be missed. Family and friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes of Castle Shannon at 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard on Sunday afternoon, September 15th from 1:00 until 4:00. Interment will be private. If Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or the Humane Society.
