Age 95, of Mt. Lebanon passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021. Born July 27, 1926 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles F. Grube, Sr. and Mary Conway Grube. Chuck was a graduate of Crafton High School and received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Pittsburgh following WW II, where he had served in the U.S. Navy in Guam. He was an avid sports fan and played high school, college and semi-professional football in his early years. Chuck retired from Dupont Corp. after 25 years as a sales representative. He was well known at St. Bernard Church where he served as an usher for many years. He was married to Gloria Burford Grube for 61 years before her passing in 2011. He is survived by his three children: Lt. Col. David Grube, U.S. Air Force, Retired (Traudel) of Germany, Richard Grube (Dorothy) of Oakmont and Carol Grube Bair (Ken) of Rolesville, N.C.; 5 granddaughters and 9 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) on Friday morning at 10:00. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
