Age 77, of Dormont, on Monday evening, March 25, 2024. Beloved husband for 53  years of Sandra Lee (Clark) Balistreri; devoted father of Thomas G. (Maggie), Chester B. (Jessica) and Benjamin D. (Renee) Balistreri; proud ‘Poppy’ of Rebecca Lee Ann, Maximilian Gaetano, Bentley Gabriel, Jackson Chester and Declan Brian; brother of Catherine Lea (Sonny) Philistine and the late Evelyn Priscilla Palladini (Vince); also survived by nieces and nephews. Chester was the owner/operator of Balistreri Trucking, the company established by his father. He loved to dance, do chores around the house and was a good cook. Chester’s greatest joys were his grandchildren from his Princess Rebecca to the pride in knowing that the family name would live on in his four grandsons. Calling hours have been omitted. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, April 6th in St. Pius X Church, 3040 Pioneer Avenue, Pittsburgh at 10 o’clock. If desired, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or DePaul School for Hearing and Speech.
