Colleen M. Kinevey, age 76, passed away in her home, on Thursday May 21, 2026.
Beloved mother of William Yahner and Megan Yahner; sister of Maureen Kinevey.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Alice Kinevey.
Colleen Kinevey was our beloved Mother, friend and advisor.
Colleen attended Edinboro University where she earned her masters in Education as a Reading Specialist. Colleen taught elementary students for over 25 years. She was a fixture in the West Allegheny school district. She was a proud and involved teachers union member. She inspired numerous students and was much beloved by her students and peers. She eventually pioneered the new position of Instructional Support Teacher.
As per Colleen’s wishes there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
