Daniel J. Murphy

Age 91, of Dormont, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. Beloved husband for 71 years of Joyce K. (Carvlin) Murphy; devoted father of John (Rose), Maureen Lucas (the late Frederick), Bernard, Terrance, Mary, Meghan Porco (Anthony), Christine Schramm (David), the late James, Dennis (survived by Delores) and Katherine Gross (survived by Stephen); also survived by 22 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Daniel was a native of Sioux City, Iowa, the son of James and Ruth (Graves) Murphy. He was a very proud member of the St. Vincent De Paul Society and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Daniel retired from the Calgon Carbon Corporation in 1993. Friends will be welcomed at Saint Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) 311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Saturday morning, December 28th from 9:30 until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o’clock. Interment will be private. If desired, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
