Daniel James Klisavage, age 64, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Beloved son of Bernard A. and Eileen (Nowicki) Klisavage; brother of Bernard J. (Alice), Karen (the late Alex) Vilchis, Michael (Joan), Paul (Sandy), Brian, and Valerie (Ernest) Gigliotti. Daniel is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews as well as 15 great nieces and nephews.
A two-time silver medalist swimmer in the Special Olympics, Danny was a proud graduate of Pathfinder School. He worked at Bernie's Pharmacy in Dormont for many years.
Family was everything to Danny as he would often say, "I love my family too much!" He is the favorite uncle and biggest applauder for his nieces and nephews. If you knew him you know that everyone was his friend, there are no strangers in life.
He was an aficionado of light houses, boat rides and beaches. Danny loved the Pirates, especially Willie Stargell, the Steelers, especially Terry Bradshaw, Hulk Hogan, and attending Penn State football games. A patron of the arts, he had a special affinity for musical theater. He was perhaps the world's greatest connoisseur of donuts. If you knew Danny, you loved Danny.
