Daniel Metro

59, of Pleasant Hills, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, July 17, 2020. Son of the late Peter E. and Carmella Iacoboni Metro; beloved husband for 26 years of Kristine M. Paull Metro; devoted father to his twin sons, Peter D. and Julian P. Metro; loving brother of Gary Metro (Marian). Brother-in law of Maryellen Och (Robert); uncle of Andrew and Marie Och; Dan is also survived by his Uncle Francis Metro, Aunt Enice Iacoboni, his many cousins, loyal friends and his faithful canine companion, Sidney. Dan worked in Finance at L3 Harris on programs critical to National Defense, Viewing hours have been omitted. Everyone is invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Thomas A’ Becket Church (Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish), 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills (Clairton), PA 15025, on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 12:00 Noon (Everyone is required to wear a mask). Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at their home on MONDAY EVENING, July 20, 2020 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. (masks and social distancing will be required). In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, 1 N. Linden Street, Duquesne, PA 15110,  "If for some reason you can not attend Dan's funeral mass or the gathering at his home on Monday evening, the family understands and we will get together at another time."
