Darlene (Zuback) Peta

Age 89, of Mount Lebanon and formerly of Scott Township (Birdland), passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at her home. Darlene was born on August 7, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, PA. She was the daughter of the late John Zuback and Rose (Malinsky) Zuback; beloved wife of nearly 58 years to the late Leo J. Peta; loving mother of Rosemary (John) Eizenhafer of Penn Township; Christopher (Cindy) Peta of Penn Township; and Dana (Henry) Casale of Pittsburgh; dearest grandmother of three grandchildren that were always her pride and joy, Maddy and Sam Casale, and Jack Eizenhafer; caring sister of Carol (the late Ed), Alexander of Sterling, VA, Tony (Carlotta) Zuback of Venetia, PA, Joe (Carole) Zuback of Camarillo, CA, and the late Ron (Barbara) Zuback of Middleburg, FL.   

Darlene grew up in Connellsville, PA, and graduated from Connellsville Joint High School in 1954. While married and raising her family, she was employed at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh for 25 years as an Out-Patient Registrar before her retirement in 1994. 

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, PA, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bernard Church, St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Mount Lebanon, on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
